If you wish to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible. Orders can only be cancelled if they are yet to be processed (usually within 24 hours). If you wish to cancel your order after it has been processed you will need to return the item in accordance with our Returns Policy.

How do I return an item?

Please refer to our Returns Policy.

Can flea / worm treatments damage my cat collar?

Yes. Unfortunately there are ingredients in some flea and worm treatments which can damage your collar and cause the dye in the material to run. We therefore recommend that you read the product information leaflet which comes with the treatment carefully. To be on the safe side an option is to remove your cats collar before applying the treatment and wait until it is completely dry before putting the collar back on.

How do I care for my leather collar?

To clean your cat's leather collar, simply wipe with a clean damp cloths and allow to dry before putting it on your cat.

What happens if an item is out of stock?

We aim to have stock available at all times. However, if an item you have ordered is out of stock we will inform you by email and confirm an estimated delivery time. We have the right to cancel your order at any time for any reason.

If you have previously ordered a certain style of collar which you can no longer see available on our website please contact us and we will be able to advise when it will be back in stock.

What collar brands do you stock?

The majority of our collars come under the Cool Cat Collars brand. These are handmade collars here in the UK and are made to order. We also stock a small range of other designer collars.

What size are the collars?

The size of each collar is clearly displayed in the description of every collar on our website.

Our Cool Cat Collars are available in the following sizes:

  • Kitten (6-9")
  • Adult Cat (7-11")
  • XL (10-14")

Our collars are either 10mm or 12mm wide. The width of each collar is clearly displayed in the description of every collar on our website.

If you have a large cat or require a specific size please contact us and we will see what we can do!

If your cat is in between sizes and still growing we would suggest you purchase the larger size so you get more use out of your collar.

At what age / weight should a kitten wear a collar?

It is recommended that your kitten or cat is at least 2kg before they wear a collar. This is so they are heavy enough for the collar to break open under their weight should they get caught.

At what age can my kitten go outside?

It is recommended that your kitten is at least 6 months old, fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before they are allowed outside.

Can I attach a lead to the collar so I can walk my cat?

No. Our cat collars are safety collars. They are either fitted with a safety release buckle, which will snap open once pulled or they are fitted with safety elastic, which will stretch open when pulled. For the safety of your cat we recommend that you don't use a dog collar to walk your cat, doing so could cause serious injury to your cat. We always recommend harnesses designed especially for cats, these are usually a much better fit and escape proof.

How do I measure my cat for a collar?

You should measure your cats neck with a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string (then measure the string with a straight ruler). Allow enough extra room to fit two of your fingers between the collar and your cats neck.

How do I adjust the size of the collar?

To adjust the size of the collar simply slide the plastic adjuster to extend or shorten the length of the collar.

What is the best first collar for my cat / kitten?

If your cat / kitten has never worn a collar before we would advise opting for one of our double velvet collars as they are very soft and light. We would also suggest that you remove the bell before use then put it back on the collar once your cat / kitten is used to wearing their collar.

What is the best collar for my cat who has sensitive skin?

We recommend our double velvet collars for cats with sensitive skin as they are very soft.

I gave you the wrong information for the ID tag, what should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible. If you order is yet to be processed we will happily update the information for you.

How do I measure my cat for a harness?

All of our cat harnesses will fit an adult cat with a chest size of 12"-20".

To measure your cats chest you will need a flexible measuring tape. The chest measurement should be taken just behind the cats front legs (girth). The measuring tape should be snug against your cat body.
